Position Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as NDT Technician Helpers or Trainees. This position offers an excellent opportunity for those interested in pursuing a career in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) to gain valuable hands-on experience and training. As an NDT Technician Helper or Trainee, you will support our experienced technicians in conducting inspections and tests using various methods such as Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), or Visual Testing (VT). This role is ideal for individuals who are eager to learn, develop their skills, and eventually obtain certification in NDT.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the setup and preparation of testing equipment under the guidance of experienced technicians.
Participate in NDT inspections and tests utilizing methods such as RT, UT, MT, PT, or VT.
Learn to interpret and evaluate test results under the supervision of experienced technicians.
Aid in documenting inspection results accurately and maintaining records.
Follow safety procedures and protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
Collaborate with team members to support the inspection process and address any issues or concerns.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong desire to learn and develop skills in the field of NDT.
Excellent attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Commitment to safety and willingness to adhere to safety protocols.
Previous experience or coursework in a related field is advantageous but not required.
Preferred Qualifications:
NAS 410 experience
Interest in pursuing certification in NDT methods.
Basic knowledge of NDT principles and techniques.
