Job Summary
The Industrial Engineer will provide Engineering capability to operational and development Programs to enable and deliver zero defect projects utilizing engineering and problem solving skills
Position Overview
Plan utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to improve the efficiency of operations
Analyze workforce utilization, facility layout, and operational data such as production costs, process flow diagrams, and production schedules to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment
Recommend methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, relocating workstations and equipment, and purchase of equipment
Manufacturing/assembly automation experience
Working knowledge of quality system models such as ISO9000, AS9100, or D1-9000
Training and/or experience in lean tools and techniques (Practical Problem Solving, A3, PFMEA and/or Fishbone diagrams)
Project and/or Program Management
Technical expertise at a local project level in governance and deployment of manufacturing development and integration for production
Root cause methodologies experience
Six Sigma green belt certification or training
Shop improvements
Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or 5+ years of Industrial or Manufacturing engineering experience in lieu of degree.
Must have a minimum of 5 years recent aerospace manufacturing experience.
Must have Master Scheduling experience.
