Aircraft Structural Mechanic

Job Duties

• Perform close tolerance drilling, reaming, removal and installation to critical support structures

   and fracture critical areas.

      

• Locating blind holes necessary for installation of new structural items to existing structure.

      

• Demonstrates the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders,

   process specification and retrofit requirements to perform structural modification/repair.

      

• A detailed knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as drills, reamers, deburrers, files, rivet guns,

  bucking bars, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers, etc. are required.       

      

• Be able to bend, stoop, kneel and /or stand for prolonged periods of time, climb ladders and/or service stands.

      

• Subject to noise more than 85dbs

      

• Capable of lifting fifty (50) pounds

      

• Job requires participation in the DOT random drug and alcohol testing program

      

• May be exposed to hazardous chemicals and requires the use of all safety equipment

      

• Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required

Job Requirements

• Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution

   and/or equivalent experience is required.

Experience Requirements

• Two (2) or more years aircraft structural overhaul experience
